My review of this one vs many board game by Upper Deck Entertainment where one player is the shark and the others are the hunters. The hunters guess where the shark might be and if they find him, there is a black jack like mechanism for combat.

Good review. Overly complicated and ill thought out sequences as if the rules were written as they came into the writers head.

I'm looking for some fun "1 vs. many" board games, if anyone has some recommendations

I'd recommend "Survive: Escape From Atlantis 30th Anniversary Edition" for those who like the idea but not particularly this game. It's all vs all where you can use whirlpools, sharks, krakens, whales, and (I believe more) to take out other players' meeples. The catch is that everyone looks at how many points each of their meeples is worth during setup but nobody can look again until the end game scoring. It quickly becomes a game of shaky alliances and quick betrayals. Oh, you decided 2 of yours would hitch a ride on my boat and push it closer to escaping? I'll jump off and swim the rest of the way right before sending a something to wipe yours out. Thanks! Haha, good fun.

Thank you – I almost bought this when it cam up as available at CoolStuffInc, but your review shied me away from it. I'll save my money for a better game (from CSI, of course!).

I'm not sure any other review has ever put me off a game more lol I was really looking forward to this one given the cool theme and the artwork style. It's a shame they screwed it up so much. Thanks for your honesty Dan.

+1 For an original theme though, there isn't enough shark games haha :p

Seems like NOT ALONE is the better alternative.

Almost tried this at GenCon but passed. Looks like I made the right call.

Another example of the explosion of "trash dice" games…

Really disappointed with this one. Great artwork, but the game play doesn't seems to feel like being a shark at all. Thanks for the quick review!

This seems unnecessarily complicated and waaaaay fiddly. Needs streamlining bigtime.

Games ride or die on the mechanisms and their integration with the theme. What a tremendous let-down. Pass. I mean, a game with SHARKS that's not exciting? WITH sharks? Come on.

Huge missed opportunity to create Chum tokens….this game could have been awesome but the mechanics design really looks phoned in.

I don't know how many times I've been in a store in a long line and a shark in front of me puts a ton of coins on the counter. So annoying!

This looked interesting, but you're right, the shark collecting and spending coins doesn't make sense at all. Also, pretty impressive that the shark can take out a helicopter!
