I built a modified version of The Wood Whisperer Guild Gaming Dining Table. The instructions were fantastic, and I’ve been using many of the techniques from that video for a few years now, despite only just building the table.

Beautiful table, Paul! Love the grain on that veneer! Your cat should win a golden globe for it's supporting role in this film.

Now that you have had this for a while, what are your opinions on your mods for the knockdown legs? What all did you have to change from Marc's design to do that?

I'd want to make one but I dont have tools or let alone the know how, I've seen the website and the project costs $100 for the entry but how much for the wood itself? Would i be able to get everything cut at lowes or something? So many unknowns.

Great table. I’d love to do this but the expense of all the power tools would be too great just for a one off job.

Where do you get your wood from? Lowes and home depot don't have this beautiful wood.

Do you by any chance have the plans for this table anywhere? I'm very new to this and I never gave it a go on the Wood Whisperer's table because of the non-removable legs – and yours have it! I would love to see in detail how you made it 🙂

So, no instructions, measurements, no opinions, recommendations… nothing? huh? Yeah, then it is as good as ASMR

Hell yeah! This looks awesome. We'd be tempted to put some LEDs in this haha. Nice work!

Great build, but you can save yourself a lot of time making the tenon on the bandsaw as well. Just set the table saw up to cut the thickness of it 3:10 and then the bandsaw for the depth in one cut like you're doing for the veneer 3:18

Paul I'd be interested to know what your modifications were for the accessory shelves on the side rails as they are different from the original plans.

Awesome design, and great idea with the modular rails on the sides for rolls. basically a built in dm screen for rpg's, and super handy for everyone else at the table. do you find that the recess for the playing surface is ever uncomfortable?

not sure why, but honestly really liked how you didn't really say anything, just showed the work. Kinda relaxing when you get to watch.

Any tips for building the rail accessories? Looks like yours have an extra bottom cleat that Marc's plans didn't mention
