In this project we’re building a handheld gaming console! This DIY gadget has 12 buttons, an analog joystick, stereo speakers and a 5” HDMI display. We’re using the Raspberry Pi A+ and RetroPie image. We call it…. Super Game Pi!
Bigger than our DIY GameBoy( , this project has support for way more games, a bigger screen, sound and all ze buttons!
To make your own Super Game Pi, you’ll have to 3D print the enclosure, hack an SNES controller and solder electronics.
You can pick the Raspberry Pi A+ and all the parts to build this project from Adafruit. We’ll need some hand tools and access to a 3D Printer.

This stick is a bit too big for me. Is there any possibility to know which wire of the PS Vita stick does a certain direction?

…Why in the world did you utilize a single analogue stick? Why not go the distance with a Dualshock 1 or 2? All the buttons you'll need that a Raspberry Pi could utilize. I mean, if you wanted to get complex about it, you could probably take the face buttons and d-pad of an SNES controller and add the stick and shoulder buttons of the Dualshock 1 or 2. Probably the Dualshock 2, as it's buttons were lighter, and the controller itself is everywhere.

So I'm thinking of building it but I want to double it up as a streaming device for my gaming PC. My main concern is whether limelight will pick up the built-in controls. Any idea whether it will work or not?
EDIT: Can I use a Raspberry Pi Zero instead?

Hey, I don't know if you'll see this, but you should make an updated version of this with a raspberry pi 3 and make it smaller in general.
